Basic Application Requirements

Tacoma Mountain Rescue is a group of volunteer mountaineers dedicated to volunteering time to help others through education and rescue. All members meet the following requirements.
  • Basic Mountaineering Course (The Mountaineers, or equivalent). Glacier travel experience is one of the true requirements for membership.
  • Standard First Aid training (American Red Cross is a good place to start). Many members have wilderness medical training.
  • CPR training
