Three Fingers, WA Mission Report by Tom Miner The Unit was called by the Pierce County Department of Emergency Management at 8:16 P.M. on Saturday the 27th of March. Snohomish County had requested our assistance in the Search for two lost hikers on the Three Fingers Trail. The subjects had been overdue since Thursday night. We were asked to meet at the search base at 7:00 A.M. Sunday morning. A callout was made and nine members responded: Tom Miner (OL), Rick Wire, Chris Muhs, Dan Deprez, Michael Mixon, Jeff Boulet, Todd Lokey, Rick Lorenz and Talis Abolins. They met at the Cache at 5:00 A.M. for the drive to Snohomish County. Just before they arrived at the Search base the subjects were spotted by helicopter, and a team already in the field was sent to retrieve them. Our personnel were turned around and returned to Tacoma |
