2 Lost Skiers at Crystal Mountain

Operations Chairman prelimanary report. – A skier and a snowboarder Taylor Cameron and Jason Mielcarek, both 27, say they got lost early Thursday near Crystal Mountain, although their friends and family didn't know about it until about 9 p.m. The unit was contacted by Pierce Dounty DEM at 1:30AM on Friday morning. 6 members responded to the callout. They met at the cache at 6:00AM. The men ultimately skied and snowboarded through the backcountry until reaching a ranger station at Ohanapecosh on the east side of Mount Rainier. they had to hike one more mile for a helicopter to pick them up
