TMRU Membership

Tacoma Mountain Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives through rescue and mountain safety education. These tasks are the mission of many individuals bringing different strengths to the organization. Above the minimum standards to enter the unit, individuals bring backgrounds in medicine, technical rock climbing, navigation, aviation including fixed wing and helicopter , business and finance, law enforcement, the Incident Command System, and emergency management such as USAR and FEMA task forces. Thus, the success of TMRU and other units in the area is based on the collective strengths of its members. Tacoma Mountain rescue currently has 29 active members on the callout roster.
